Book Review Haikus

A while ago, I challenged a friend to write book reviews in haiku.  He rose to the challenge admirably.

My favorite:

Neil Gaiman’s “Anansi Boys”
A modern fable,
entertains as it teaches.
The old become new.

The language of that works as actual poetry, I think.  I’m not entirely sure how I would review the last few books I’ve read in haiku.  And, properly, these are senryu, not haiku.  If we’re being pedantic.
