Curious About Book Clubs
Although I’ve spent much of my childhood and adulthood with my nose in a book, taken classes, written papers, and had entire friendships consist mostly of throwing books back and forth, I’ve never taken part in a book club.
(I think I’ve mentioned that here, before.)
Increasingly, that lack seems silly. Personally, I’d like to find a friendly book club discussing either- a book I might not read on my own (one of the classics- I’m woefully remiss!) or a bit of nice, dense nonfiction. I know I’d also have tremendous fun in a mystery group, but I”m not entirely sure how the discussion might go, once you’ve read it and found out whodunnit.
In other news, I am fed up with winter, feeling blah, and more than ready for spring. Melt, snow, melt!

My favorite book club is the one where a group of people gets together and each of us talks about a book or two that we have read the previous month. Each person gets a few minutes, depending on how many show up.
I am tired of winter too. And it’s my favorite season! I think I am just ready to swim and lay in the grass…anyway, you can join book clubs on Shelfari.com- or start your own.
