“Twilight” may suck. (Liveblogging the book.)

I’m reading Stephenie Meyers’ Twilight.   I’m only a few pages in.  And I’m dubious.  Some of which is preconceived.  Based on what friends were saying, I wasn’t expecting to like it.  And guess what?  I don’t.

I am going to try to articulate what I dislike, hopefully in clear, detailed prose.  I am already contemplating a: “Vampire Concepts I Like Better Than Twilight” post.  My primary objection: Vampires?  In daylight?  Are they going to use the rain to justify vampires traipsing about in high school in daylight?  PS- if they’re trying to blend in as “normal high school students” being ethereally beautiful and not eating their lunches is a bad way to go.

Oh wait- I said I wasn’t going to be scathing about this book.  Oops.
