Booking Through Thursday: think fast

June 4, 2009

This week’s Booking Through Thursday asks:

“This can be a quick one. Don’t take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you’ve read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.”

It seems to me that this is also a reader’s guide to, well… me.

1. The Westing Game- Ellen Raskin

2. Beauty- Robin McKinley

3. Speaker for the Dead- Orson Scott Card

4. All Creatures Great and Small- James Herriot

5.  Tam Lin- Pamela Dean

6. Callahan’s Secret- Spider Robinson

7. American Gods- Neil Gaiman

8. Where The Sidewalk Ends- Shel Silverstein

9. The Art of Drowning- Billy Collins

10. The Dream Songs- John Berryman

11. Twenty Blue Devils- Aaron Elkins

12. Jane Brody’s Good Food Book- Jane Brody

13.  Much Ado About Nothing- William Shakespeare

14. So You Want to Be a Wizard- Diane Duane

15.  Bobos in Paradise- David Brooks

The only one on your list that I knew was Where the Sidewalk Ends — a classic! Is there a book out of the remainders that you would suggest reading over the others?
