Yet another 2010 Book List

January 3, 2011

christina_reads posted this meme on LJ.

The first book you read in 2010: Ruby and the Stone Age Diet by Martin Millar. It was an odd little book but fun.
The last book you finished in 2010: My Most Excellent Year- Steve Kluger. A re-read and every bit as good as it was the first time. Great happy book to end the year on!
The first book you will finish (or did finish!) in 2011: Burning Bones by Christopher Golden and Nick Hautala.
Your favorite “classic” you read in 2010: Well heck… this is embarrassing. The closest I came to a classic was…Little Vampire Women Eesh.
The book series you read the most volumes of in 2010: Lauren Willig’s Pink Carnation series. I reread 3 and then read a new one.  I may do it again this upcoming February.
The genre you read the most in 2010: Historical fiction. Regency-ish and WWII mostly.
The book that disappointed you: The Shadow of Albion- Rosemary Edghill and Andre Norton.
The book you liked better than you expected to: How Did You Get This Number- Sloane Crosley Reviewed here.
The hardest book you read in 2010 (topic or writing style): Breaking Night: A Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival, and my Journey From Homeless to Harvard- Liz Murray
The funniest book you read in 2010: Gods Behaving Badly- Marie Phillips. Though hard to pick.
The saddest book you read in 2010: Barnacle Love- Anthony De Sa.
The shortest book you read in 2010: Ruby and the Stone Age Diet by Martin Millar.
The longest book you read in 2010: Blackout and All Clear by Connie Willis. It’s technically a two  part book and both are giant.
A book that you discovered in 2010 that you will definitely read again: Guardian of the Dead by Karen Healey and Petty Magic by Camille DeAngelis. I’m a big rereader.
A book that you never want to read again: There were a couple so awful I never put them on my book list! I know, that’s cheating.
And finally, make a New Year’s Resolution: 2. To record all the books I finish, even the stinkers. and to read a classic. Any classic
