Read-A-Thon Prep and Booklist

April 5, 2011

On Friday night, I will be heading to my parents’ house to get ready for Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon.

The good side, is my parents will feed me. And I have several comfy surfaces on which to sprawl while reading, to choose from.

The bad side is that I need to bring my books with me…. which means trying to figure out how many books I can chew through, and which books I will want to read. Nonfiction? Fiction? Kids books?

The list of books under consideration…

Shadows Bright as Glass- Amy Ellis Nutt

The Bonus- Georgia Lowe

Play Money- Laura Pedersen

Tam Lin- Pamela Dean

My Life In France- Julia Child

Arms Wide Open- Patricia Harman

Thief of Hearts- Christopher Golden

The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry- Kathleen Flinn

Fish out of Agua- My Life on Neither Side of the Subway Tracks- Michele Carlo

I will (probably) not read all of these, but one never knows.

For every book I read in 2011, I’m donating $1 to the New York Public Library.
