18 Hours of Read-a-Thon and Calling It a Night…?

April 9, 2011

After a wonderful day of sprawling and reading and drinking tea, I’m heading for bed.

With my book.

Will I sleep? Will I read more? I have no idea.

I’ve read 5 books… Which is fewer than I was expecting. But I’m pleased that I have so many interesting books to choose from. Over the next few days, I’ll be browsing everyone else’s lists with a library reserve window open, and reading reviews. Can’t wait for all the new book recommendations, and I’m very happy to have found so many fun book bloggers!I’ve had a wonderful day of reading! Many thanks to the organizers of Dewey’s Read-a-Thon! And everyone keeping it lively and fun on Twitter and Facebook!

It’s like a great big literary slumber party and I couldn’t be happier.

Especially thanks to my Dad for helping me stock up on snacks, humoring me, and making the world’s best pasta sauce.

See you in the morning?

Congratulations! I know you’ve got many more books in you this year, which will be a wonderful donation to the NYPL. I’ve made it through seven books so far in the marathon – if I make it to New York this year (as planned), I’ll be sure to drop by the library and make my own donation to the cause!
