Dewey’s Read-a-Thon Hour 5 Update

October 22, 2011

Dewey’s Read-a-Thon Progress:
Books finished: Lost Hero, by Rick Riordan. Read on Kindle. YA fiction about Greek Gods. Fun and adventurous and silly and terrific.
Cups of coffee consumed: 1
Tea: 1 black tea

I won a Read-a-Thon cheerleader contest! And I didn’t even know I’d won, until I saw my handle mentioned on the Twitter #readathon feed. I was off elsewhere reading.

Dad, my favorite cheerleader, has made pasta sauce, and is having a read-a-thon along with me, trying to finish two library books that are due soon. Right now he’s reading the Bill Bryson book about England. I’ll look up the title tomorrow.
Today, I feel like “Oh my God it’s hour 5 and I’ve only read ONE book?” I feel like I’m behind!

Up next: My Life in France, by Julia Child. And some lunch. And more tea.
Nifty blog find: Books that evoke particular states. I think I’m going to mull that over as I read, and maybe come back and answer, later.
